Merry Christmas from Mrs Claus!

It's been a long time between blog posts for Oprah, it's hard to keep up with her fast paced lifestyle of sleeping, napping and hiding from children. She did wake up for long enough to pose (unhappily) for some Christmas photos.

Or it's probably more accurate to say 'poor neglected blog'. Oprah is still as spoiled as ever, but now that there's two children to photograph, the camera gets pulled out less and less for the dog, so the blog doesn't get updated too often. But she's still alive and most unimpressed with the new addition to the family.

Oprah turned 3!

Last Sunday was Oprah's third birthday. She celebrated by running away twice and with her favourite sausages for dinner. Here's a pic of her at her 'party' and a few photos that I've been too lazy to post over the last six months.

I tried to get a picture of Oprah running along the beach, but this is the best I could do- she's way too quick for me.

Oprah is 2!

Oprah turned two last Friday 31st August. This makes her fourteen in dog years, so I'm not sure if it's better to count her in human years, which makes her a 'Terrible 2' or dog years, which makes her a teenager. Either way it sounds like hard work!!

Let's just say that Oprah is not really a fan of winter. Here she is in various stages of being rugged up on the couch looking pitiful.

Lately, Oprah has taken to thinking that she's a baby too, just like Joseph. She loves to sleep in his chair and every time that Joseph drops one of his rusks she'll run from the other end of the house to grab it and eat it....maybe she's teething too.

An afternoon at the beach

We recently spent a week at Caloundra, so Oprah was able to enjoy her favourite thing- the beach. One afternoon we went to an off the leash beach which she loved.

Oprah the big sister

Oprah has been a pretty good big sister to Joseph so far. When we first brough him home she would come and get me every time that he cried. It only took her a few days to work out that he did quite a bit of crying and she wasn't going to be bothered getting herself up everytime. So now she likes to be close to him and waits for our backs to be turned so that she can give him a good lick.

It has been a while.....

Well it's been almost a year since I last updated Oprah's site. A few camera and computer problems stopped me for a while, and then I was too busy getting ready for the arrival of Joseph. Anyway, here's a bit of what Oprah has been up to......

Oprah had a little 'tummy tuck' at the end of March 2006, so she had to wear a cone around her neck. She's not too impressed with the one we made for her out of an ice cream carton.

Not really loving this one that we bought from the vet either.

While the pipes to the tank were being installed under the back yard, Oprah helped by digging her own hole which filled with water......

Which she then swam and rolled in, leaving her looking like this.....

And it was not so easy to bath her seeing as I was seven months pregnant.
